Add an attendee manually
Create a single registrant from the dashboard — for a walk-in, a phone booking, or a VIP who should not fill in a form.
Use this for someone who should not go through the public form: a walk-in at the door, a booking taken over the phone, a speaker, or a VIP.
If you are adding more than a handful, use Import attendees from a CSV instead.
Steps
- Open Attendees and click + Add attendee.

Attendees page with the + Add attendee button in the top right
- Fill in Full name and Email.

Add attendee panel with full name, email, ticket type, status, tags and notes fields
- Choose a Ticket type and a Status. Set the status to Confirmed if they are all set — anything else leaves them mid-flow.
- Optionally add Tags (comma-separated) and Notes (internal). Notes are for your team only and are never shown to the attendee.
- Leave Send confirmation email with QR ticket ticked if they should receive their ticket now. Untick it for a walk-in you are about to check in at the desk anyway.
- Click Add attendee.
What happens next
They appear in the list immediately. If you left the confirmation ticked, their email goes out with a QR code that works at check-in straight away.
Adding someone manually does not create an order and does not take payment. If they owe you money, record that outside evenclo — this route bypasses checkout entirely.
The registration questions from your form are not asked here. Only name, email, ticket type, status, tags and notes are captured, so a manually added attendee will have blanks where form answers would be. That matters if you rely on those answers for badges — see What goes on a badge.
Common problems
"An attendee with this email already exists." Each email can register once per event. Search for them first — you may want to edit the existing record rather than add a second.
No confirmation email arrived. Check the tickbox was ticked, then check their email history to see whether it was sent and what happened to it.
They have no QR code. QR codes come with the confirmation email. Use Resend a confirmation and QR ticket.
Their ticket type is missing from the dropdown. Only ticket types visible to that attendee type appear. See Create a ticket type.
