Upload a spreadsheet, map your columns to evenclo's fields, run the import — and undo the whole thing if it goes wrong.

Importing is how you bring in a list you already have: last year's attendees, a sponsor's guest list, a delegation booked in one block.
Every import can be undone in one click, so this is much safer than it feels the first time.
Before you start
Get your file into shape first. It saves far more time than it costs.
Save as CSV, not .xlsx.
One header row, then one person per row.
One column per piece of information. Full name in a single column is fine.
Email is what matters most — it is how evenclo recognises duplicates, and how the confirmation reaches them.
Delete blank rows at the bottom. They import as empty attendees.
Import a file with three rows first. Check those three look right in the list, then revert it and run the real file. Two minutes here beats cleaning up two thousand rows later.
Steps
Open Attendees and click Import CSV.Attendees page with the Import CSV button
Choose your file.
Map columns. evenclo lists each column it found in your file and asks which evenclo field it is. Match up name, email, ticket type and anything else you want to keep.Column mapping step, each CSV column beside a dropdown of evenclo fieldsLeave a column unmapped to ignore it.
Run the import.
What happens next
The imported people appear in the list. You can filter and check them immediately.
Imported attendees are not emailed automatically. Nobody gets a confirmation or a QR code from an import. When you are happy the data is right, select them and use Send email to send confirmations — see Act on several attendees at once.
That order is deliberate: it gives you a chance to check the import before anything reaches a real inbox.
Undoing an import
If it went wrong, click Revert this import. That removes the people that import created, and leaves everyone else untouched.
Revert applies to the most recent import. So if you run two imports and the first was the bad one, revert twice — or fix the first one by hand.
Common problems
Everyone came in with the wrong ticket type. Revert, then map the ticket type column correctly, or set it in the mapping step if your file has no such column.
Names are in one column, evenclo split them oddly. Map your single name column to Full name rather than to a first/last pair.
Accented or Arabic characters look wrong. Your file was not saved as UTF-8. In Excel use *Save As → CSV UTF-8*, then re-import.
Some rows were skipped. Rows without a usable email are skipped, as are duplicates of someone already registered for this event. Check for both.
