Edit your event's name, dates and venue

Change the details behind your event, and know which of them your attendees will see change.

Who can do thisowneradmin

Your event's title, dates and venue are not just record-keeping. They feed your public pages, your confirmation emails and your badges, so a correction here fixes all of them at once.

There are two places to edit them, and it is worth knowing which does what.

The quick edit, from Your events

Best for a fast fix to the title, status, dates or venue.

  1. On Your events, click Edit on the event.
Your events list with the Edit button on an event row

  2. Change the Event title, Status, start and end dates, Venue name or City.
Inline edit panel showing event title, status, dates, venue name and city

  3. Click Save changes.

The full edit, from the event's Overview

Overview has the same fields plus the venue address.

  1. Open the event and click Overview in the sidebar.
  2. Edit the fields under Event details.

  3. Save.

What happens next

Changes appear immediately on your public pages and in emails sent from that moment on.

Emails already sent are not retrospectively corrected. If you fix a wrong date after confirmations have gone out, the people who already registered still have the old date in their inbox. Send them an update — see the Marketing section for sending a campaign to a filtered audience.

Badges pull the event title and dates when they are printed, so badges printed after the change are correct without any extra step.

Common problems

The public page still shows the old details. Reload with a hard refresh. If it persists, check you edited the event you actually have open — the event travels in the page address.

You cannot find the address field. It is only on Overview, not the quick edit panel.

Your dates look shifted by hours. Dates are entered and shown in your own browser's timezone. If you and a colleague are in different timezones you will see different local times for the same moment.

You want to change the slug, not the title. You cannot, from here. The slug is fixed at creation because it is your public address — see Create an event.
