Set the submit button, success message and redirect

Control the wording people see at the end, and where they land afterwards.

Who can do thisowneradmin

The last screen of your form is the one people screenshot. It is worth wording deliberately.

Steps

  1. Open Form builder and find Form settings.
Form settings panel with submit label, success message and redirect fields
Form settings panel with submit label, success message and redirect fields
  2. Set what you need.
  3. Save.

The settings

Submit button label — the wording on the final button. "Complete registration" or "Confirm my place" beats "Submit". For a paid ticket, something that signals payment is coming next is fairer: "Continue to payment".

Success message — shown after they register. Say what happens next, not just "thank you". A good one covers: they are registered, a confirmation email is coming, and it carries the QR code they will need at the door. That single sentence prevents a lot of "did it work?" emails.

Redirect URL — send them to a page of your own instead of showing the success message. Leave it empty unless you have a reason.

Ticket step position — whether ticket selection comes before or after the questions. See Break your form into steps.

About the redirect

Use it for a thank-you page you control, or to fire a conversion tag for your ad tracking.

A redirect replaces your success message entirely. Whatever you were telling people about their confirmation email needs to be on the destination page instead, or they will not be told at all.

Set it to a full address including https://.

What happens next

These apply to the public form as soon as you publish. Test by registering yourself — see Preview and publish your form.

Common problems

The success message shows but no email arrives. Two separate things. The message is this setting; the email is your confirmation template in the Email editor. Check the attendee's email history.

The redirect does nothing. It needs the full address with https://, not a bare domain or a relative path.

People pay and see nothing. After a payment the gateway returns them to evenclo, then to your redirect. If the destination is slow or broken they are left staring at a blank page having been charged. Test the whole paid path yourself before going live.

You want a different message per attendee type. Not supported — one message covers everyone. Keep it general and put type-specific detail in the confirmation email.
