Edit, disable or delete a ticket
Change a ticket after it is live, take it off sale, or remove it — and what each does to people who already bought.
Editing
- Open Tickets, go to the Tickets tab and open the ticket.
- Change what you need.
- Save.
Changes apply to future purchases only. Nobody who already bought is re-charged or refunded, and their order keeps the price they paid.
Changing a live ticket's price is visible immediately. If you are mid-campaign with the old price on a landing page or in an email, update those at the same time — a price mismatch between your email and your checkout costs you registrations and generates complaints.
Taking a ticket off sale
Three ways, for different situations:
Disable it. The cleanest. It disappears from the form immediately and existing orders are untouched. Use this to close sales early or pull a ticket you published by mistake.
Let the sales window end. Set Sales end to a past moment. Same effect, and it self-documents when sales closed.
Let the quantity run out. It stops selling on its own when the allocation is gone.

Deleting
Deleting a ticket is for one that was never used. If anyone bought it, disable it instead — deleting it damages the record of what those people purchased and makes your reports harder to read.
What happens next
A disabled ticket vanishes from the ticket step. If it was the only ticket visible to an attendee type, that type can no longer register at all — which may be exactly what you want, or a surprise.
Existing attendees keep their tickets and their QR codes regardless.
Common problems
You disabled a ticket and now nobody can register. It was the only one visible to that attendee type. Enable another, or make an existing ticket visible to that type.
Sales end passed but people are still buying. They are on a different ticket than you think. Check every ticket visible to that attendee type, not just the one you edited.
You need to raise prices without penalising people mid-registration. Set up the new price as a phase starting at a specific time — see Set up early-bird pricing. Anyone who completes before that keeps the old price.
You want it visible but not buyable. Disabling hides it. To show a sold-out state, let the quantity limit run out rather than disabling.
