Run the badge print kiosk
Scan a ticket and print that person's badge on the spot, optionally checking them in at the same time.

The kiosk is one lane: someone scans, their badge prints, they walk on. Open it on the machine attached to your badge printer.
Steps
- Open Print kiosk on the machine with the printer.
- Select the target printer.
- Decide whether Check in on print is on for this lane.
- Scan a ticket QR — with a hardware scanner, or the camera.

Badge kiosk ready to scan, showing printer status and the check-in-on-print setting - The badge prints. Click Ready for next scan to reset.
Check in on print
When on, one scan both checks them in and prints their badge. That is what you want for a single-desk event.
This setting is per lane and overrides the event-wide setting, so you can run a printing lane that checks people in and a separate reprint desk that does not.
Run your reprint desk with check-in off. Otherwise reprinting a lost badge for someone already inside re-checks them in and skews your numbers.
Duplicate prints
If someone's badge has already been printed, the kiosk warns you rather than printing again. Click Reprint anyway if it is genuinely needed — a lost or damaged badge.
The warning exists because a queue of people rescanning is the main way you burn through your badge stock.
Silent printing
By default each print shows a confirmation prompt, which is fine for a low-volume desk and painful for a busy one.
Silent printing — where the badge simply prints with no dialog — requires printing certificates configured on the server. If your kiosk prompts on every print and you need it not to, contact support. It is not a setting you can change from this page.
Setting up the lane
- Use a hardware scanner if you have one. It behaves like a keyboard and is faster and more reliable than a camera.
- Print one test badge through the kiosk before opening — not from the designer, from the kiosk itself on the real printer.
- Load plenty of stock. Reloading with twenty people waiting is the worst moment to discover the tray is empty.
- Watch the printer connection indicator on the page.
- Have a hotspot ready.
What happens next
Prints are recorded, which is how duplicate detection works. Check-in numbers update live if check-in on print is on.
Common problems
No printer listed. The printing helper is not running on that machine, or the browser cannot see it. Restart the helper and reload.
It prints the wrong size. Printer settings, not evenclo. Set the correct stock size in the operating system's printer preferences.
A confirmation prompt every time. Silent printing is not configured — see above.
"Already printed" for everyone. Someone already ran a batch print. Use Reprint anyway, or switch the desk to handing out pre-printed badges.
The scanner types into the search box instead of scanning. It is in the wrong mode. Most hardware scanners have a configuration barcode in their manual to set keyboard-wedge mode.
