Print badges in a batch
Print badges for everyone, or for a selected group, ahead of the day.
Batch printing is for pre-printing ahead of the event. For printing on arrival, use the print kiosk.
Print everyone
- Open Badges and select the template.
- Click Print all / PDF.

Badge designer with the batch print action
Print a selected group
- Open Attendees.
- Filter to the people you want — see Find and filter your attendee list.
- Tick their rows and choose Print badges from the bulk bar.
This is the one to use for a late batch: filter to people who registered since your last print run.
Batch printing never checks anyone in. You can print the whole event a week early without touching your attendance numbers.
Server-side PDF may not be available
If PDF generation is not enabled on your installation, the flow falls back to printing through your browser instead. It still works — you get the same badges — but you print from a browser window rather than downloading a file.
If you need proper PDFs for a print supplier and only get browser printing, contact support: it is a server setting, not something you can change from here.
Pre-print or print on arrival?
Pre-print when your list is settled a few days out, when you use PVC cards from an external supplier, or when your door has no reliable power and network.
Sort them alphabetically into boxes by surname and you have a fast desk with no technology at all.
Print on arrival when registrations keep coming until the doors open, when many people register on the day, or when you want to avoid printing hundreds of badges for people who never come. See the print kiosk.
Most events do both: pre-print everyone registered by the cut-off, and run a kiosk for the rest.
What happens next
Badges reflect each attendee's details at the moment of printing. Someone who corrects their name afterwards needs a reprint.
Common problems
Everything came out on one page. Your print dialog is scaling to fit. Set scale to 100%.
Some badges are blank. Those attendee types have no template assigned and there is no event default. See Assign badges to attendee types.
Names are cut off. Your longest names exceed the layout. Fix the template and reprint — see Design a badge template.
It is very slow with a large list. Print in batches of a few hundred using the attendee filters.
You printed before checking. Always print a test badge first.
