Create an event

Walk the four-step wizard: basics and slug, colors and logo, teammates, done.

Who can do thisowneradmin

Creating an event gives it its own public web address straight away, so this is the first thing you do for any new event.

Before you start

Have your slug in mind. The slug is the your-event-slug part of your-event-slug.evenclo.com, it is what you will put on printed material, and it goes live the moment you finish. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only.

Steps

  1. From Your events, click + New event.
Your events page with the + New event button beside the heading
Your events page with the + New event button beside the heading
  1. Step 1 — Basics. Fill in the Event title. The Slug (subdomain) fills itself in from the title, and the preview under it shows the address you will get. Overtype it if you want something shorter.
Create event step 1 with event title, slug field and the slug preview showing your-slug.evenclo.com
Create event step 1 with event title, slug field and the slug preview showing your-slug.evenclo.com
Then set Status, the Start date and End date, and the Venue name and City. Leave Status on Draft unless you want the public page live immediately.
  1. Click through to Step 2 — Design. Pick a starting page template, set your Primary color and Accent color, and upload a logo.
Create event step 2 showing template choices, primary and accent color pickers and the logo upload

None of this is permanent — you can change all of it later in the Page editor.
  1. Step 3 — Team. Add teammates by name and email, or skip it and do it later from the Team page.
Create event step 3 with rows for teammate first name and email

  1. Click Create event.

What happens next

You land on Your event is live, with two links: View live page opens the public site, and Go to event admin opens the event's overview.

Final wizard step confirming the event was created, with View live page and Go to event admin links

Any teammates you added in step 3 are emailed an invitation to set their password.

From here, work through the setup checklist — it is the shortest route to taking registrations.

The slug is your public address. Decide it now and stick with it. Changing it later breaks every link you have already shared, every QR code already printed, and anything search engines have indexed.

Common problems

"Slug can only contain lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens." No spaces, capitals, underscores, apostrophes or accents. nova-summit-2026, not Nova Summit 2026.

It says the slug is already taken. Slugs are unique across all of evenclo, not just your workspace. Add the year or the city.

You cannot see + New event. Only owners and admins can create events.

The live page looks empty. A brand new event has a template page and no registration form yet. That is the setup checklist's job.
