Work through the setup checklist
The five steps on your event Overview that take a new event from empty to taking registrations.
A new event's Overview page carries a setup checklist. Each item has a Go button that drops you on the exact page that finishes it, so it doubles as a map of what actually matters.

The five steps
1. Complete your event details
Title, dates, venue and city. These appear on your public pages, in confirmation emails and on badges. See Edit your event's name, dates and venue.
2. Publish your landing page
Go opens the Page editor, where you build the public pages attendees see. The event was created with a starting template, so this is editing rather than building from nothing.
3. Set up your registration form and ticket types
Go opens the Form builder: the questions people answer, your attendee types, and your tickets.
This is the step worth slowing down on. Adding a question after people have registered means your early registrants have no answer to it, and there is no clean way to go back and ask. Decide what you need before you publish.
4. Receive your first registration
This one completes itself — but do not wait for a real attendee to tick it. Register yourself, with a real email address, paying if it is a paid ticket, and read the confirmation that arrives. It is the single best test that the whole chain works.
5. Invite your team
Go opens the Team page. Read What each team role can do first so you invite people at the right level the first time.
What happens next
Items tick themselves off as you complete them. Nothing enforces the order, and nothing is blocked by an unticked item — you can publish with the checklist half done. It is a guide, not a gate.
When the checklist is done, set the event to Published: Take your event from draft to published.
Common problems
An item will not tick even though you did it. Reload Overview. The checklist reads your current setup when the page loads, not live.
The Go button for the landing page opens something that looks like a code editor. A small number of older events were created before the current Page editor and open a plain HTML editor instead. If that happens and you did not expect it, contact support rather than editing the code — you probably want to be moved onto the current editor.
You cannot see Overview at all. It is owner and admin only.
