Sell a ticket at the door
Register a walk-in and record their payment in cash, card or transfer from the staff app, with the same invoice as an online sale.
People turn up without a ticket. A door sale lets your desk register them and take their money on the spot, so the sale lands in your reports with an invoice number from the same sequence as your online sales.
Door sales are made from the evenclo staff app, on the phone or tablet your desk already uses for check-in.
Steps
- In the staff app, add the walk-in as a new attendee. If they already registered online but never paid, find them instead.
- Open their record and tap take payment.
- Pick the ticket they are buying.
- Pick how they paid: cash, card or transfer.
They are confirmed straight away, get a confirmation email, and can be scanned in seconds later.
How the money is recorded
No payment gateway is involved: the money is already in your cash drawer or on a card terminal that is not evenclo's. The sale is recorded as a manual payment, with the person who took it, and appears in Reports → Orders & revenue and in reconciliation like any other order.
Common problems
The desk is told the attendee has already paid. That registration already has a paid order. evenclo refuses a second charge so a desk pressing the button twice in a busy queue does not charge someone twice.
