Edit your email templates
Change the wording of the confirmations and notifications evenclo sends automatically.
The email editor lives on your event's own address — open Email editor in the sidebar and it takes you there.
The built-in templates
- Confirmation / QR ticket — the most important email you send. Every registrant gets it.
- Invitation and Invitation confirmed
- Exhibitor application received, approved, rejected
- Staff badge ready
Steps
- Open Email editor.
- Select a template.
- Edit the subject and body. Switch the body between Design and Code modes.

Reset puts a built-in template back to its default, which is the quickest fix when an edit has gone wrong.
The confirmation email deserves real attention
It is the email people search for on the morning of your event, standing outside the venue.
Put the essentials in the subject line. Event name and date. That is what people search on.
QR code near the top. Not below three paragraphs of welcome text.
Date, time and venue address, in text. Not in an image — most clients block images by default.
Say the code is their entry. "Show this at the door" prevents a surprising number of confused arrivals.
Keep it short. Anything else can go on your website.
Design mode and code mode
Design for normal editing. Code when you need control over the HTML.
If you write your own HTML, keep it simple — one column, no fixed pixel widths, no multi-column tables. Email clients are far less capable than browsers, and a layout that works in your browser preview can collapse in Outlook.
Test before relying on it
Register yourself and read the result on a phone. Check the QR code displays, and scan it on the Check-in page.
What happens next
Templates apply to email sent from now on. Anything already sent keeps its old wording.
Resending a confirmation sends the current version — see Resend a confirmation and QR ticket.
Common problems
Your changes are not in the email you received. It was sent before the edit, or you edited a different template.
The layout breaks on a phone. Simplify the HTML.
Images do not show. Clients block remote images. Never put essential information in an image.
The QR code is missing. Its merge tag was removed. See Personalise emails with merge tags, or reset the template.
You broke a template. Reset it to default and start again.
