Bulk actions on sessions and speakers

Hide, unhide, enable check-in or delete several at once instead of one at a time.

Both the Agenda and Speakers tabs let you select several rows and act on all of them.

Steps

Open Program and go to Agenda or Speakers.
Tick the rows you want.
Choose an action from the bar that appears.

Actions on sessions

Hide / Unhide — take sessions off the public agenda or put them back.

Enable check-in / Disable check-in — turn session check-in on for a set of sessions. Much faster than opening each — see Check attendees into a session.

Delete — permanent, and it removes their check-in records.

Actions on speakers

Hide / Unhide and Delete.

Where this actually saves time

Building the agenda privately. Create everything, select all, hide. Work in peace, then unhide the whole thing on announcement day.

Turning on check-in for a track. Select the workshops, enable check-in in one action.

Announcing in waves. Keep unannounced speakers hidden, then unhide a batch each week.

Clearing a bad import. Select the imported rows, delete, fix the file, import again — see Import and export sessions and speakers.

Bulk delete is permanent and takes session check-in records with it. Export first — it takes ten seconds and is the only complete backup you have.

What happens next

Changes apply immediately to your public agenda and speakers sections.

Common problems

The selection cleared. Selection covers the rows currently shown. Changing tab or filter clears it.

You hid more than intended. Select them again and unhide. Hiding is fully reversible, which is why it is safer than deleting.

You deleted the wrong sessions. Re-import from a CSV export if you have one. Otherwise rebuild by hand.

The bulk bar does not appear. Nothing is ticked, or you are on a tab without bulk actions.

You want to change times in bulk. Not available. Either duplicate the track with a time shift — see Create and manage tracks — or export, edit the times in a spreadsheet, and re-import.
