Set up early-bird pricing with price phases
Let one ticket change price on a schedule instead of creating three tickets.
Price phases let a single ticket cost different amounts at different times. The price changes on its own — you do not have to be awake at midnight to switch it.
Steps
- Open Tickets, go to the Tickets tab and open the ticket.
- Find Price phases.

Ticket panel showing the price phases list with name, price and date window per phase - Add a phase with a name, a price, and its start and end.
- Add as many as you need, then save.
A typical ladder
| Phase | Price | Window |
|---|---|---|
| Super early bird | 800 | until 31 Jan |
| Early bird | 1,000 | 1 Feb – 15 Mar |
| Standard | 1,400 | 16 Mar – 20 Apr |
| Late | 1,700 | 21 Apr onwards |
Make the windows touch without gaps. A day nothing covers falls back to the ticket's base price, which is rarely what you intended.
Why phases beat separate tickets
Three separate tickets means three quantity limits to manage, three visibility settings, three rows in every report, and a real risk of two being live at once.
One ticket with phases keeps a single quantity limit and a single line in your reporting, and the price changes by itself.
Announce the deadline, not the price. "Early bird ends 15 March" sells more than "1,000 EGP until 15 March" — and phases mean the deadline enforces itself.
What happens next
The public form shows the price for today. When a phase ends the next one takes over automatically at the boundary.
People who already bought keep the price they paid. Phases never change an existing order.
Common problems
The old price is still showing. The phase boundary is a date and time. Check the end of one phase and the start of the next line up, and remember they are interpreted in your own timezone.
A day shows the base price. There is a gap between phases. Close it.
Two phases overlap. Behaviour on an overlap is not something to rely on. Fix the dates so exactly one phase covers any moment.
You want the discount to depend on a code, not a date. That is a discount code, not a phase. See Create a discount code.
You want a member price rather than a time-based one. Use attendee-type visibility instead — a members-only ticket that only members can see. See Create a ticket type.
