Let attendees build their own agenda

Turn the programme into a personal agenda — attendees save sessions, filter to their own day, and add it to their phone calendar.

Every event with more than one track has the same problem: the programme lists forty sessions and an attendee cares about six. My agenda lets them star the six, see only those, and put them on their phone.

There is nothing to switch on. Once you have sessions on the Program page, the agenda exists at /agenda on your event's address.

How an attendee reaches it

The agenda knows who they are through their personal link — the same one that carries their QR code. Add {{agenda_link}} to your confirmation email or a WhatsApp campaign and each person gets their own:

Without that link the page still shows the full programme, it just cannot save anything — so it is safe to share the bare /agenda address publicly as a mobile-friendly timetable.

What they see

Day tabs across the top, in the event's own timezone — someone reading on a plane still sees your Tuesday, not theirs.
Everything / My agenda to switch between the whole programme and what they saved.
A star on each session. Tapping it saves instantly; it works on a bad connection and corrects itself if the save genuinely fails.
Add to calendar, which is the reminder.

The calendar is the reminder

Rather than emailing people fifteen minutes before each talk, the agenda hands them a calendar file of everything they saved, each entry with a 15-minute alert already on it. Their own phone does the reminding — offline, in the venue's dead spots, in whatever notification style they already use.

Re-adding the file after saving more sessions updates what they already have instead of duplicating it.

Put it on your website

Add a My Agenda section in the Page editor, or create a page from the "My agenda" preset. Embedded like that it shows the programme read-only and points people at their personal link, because a personal link cannot survive being pasted into a wrapper page — the same rule as the seating plan.

Capacity

If a session has a capacity set, the agenda shows Full once that many people have saved it. It does not stop anyone else saving — a save is a plan, not a seat reservation, and turning it into one would mean waitlists and "someone took your spot" emails. Use session check-in if you need to actually control who gets in the room.

Common problems

The stars are missing — the page was opened without a personal link. Check the {{agenda_link}} tag is in the email that went out, and that the attendee is opening that link rather than typing the address.

A session is not listed — it is hidden on the Program page. Hidden sessions never appear, and one that is hidden after somebody saved it disappears from their agenda and their calendar too.

Times look wrong — the event's timezone is set on the event's settings, and every time on this page is rendered in it. Sessions with no start time yet are grouped under "Time to be announced".
