Create and position booths
Generate a grid of booths, drag them onto the plan, and move them between halls.
Generate a grid
For a plan of regular booths, generate them rather than creating each one.
- Open Exhibitors, go to Floor plan, and select the hall.
- Use the bulk generator and click Generate.

Floor plan tab with the booth grid generator
You get a block of booths with sequential codes, ready to be positioned.
Position them
Drag booths to place them over the hall's background plan.
Working over the venue's real architectural plan is much easier than positioning against a blank grid — see Manage halls and background plans.

Move booths between halls
Select booths and Move them to another hall. Useful when you rebalance a layout, or when the venue reassigns you a different space.
Laying out a floor that works
The plan is a selling tool as much as a map.
- Follow the real traffic. Booths near entrances, catering and toilets get more footfall and can be priced higher.
- Avoid dead corners. A booth nobody walks past is a complaint next year. Either do not sell it, or price it accordingly.
- Keep aisles wide. Narrow aisles feel busy at first and become unusable at peak.
- Separate direct competitors, especially if one is a major sponsor.
- Put anchor sponsors where they were promised, and block those booths before opening applications.
Number booths so the codes make sense walking the floor — A1, A2, A3 down one aisle rather than snaking. Attendees navigate by code, and a clever numbering scheme nobody can follow costs your exhibitors visitors.
What happens next
Booths become allocatable when you approve exhibitors, or selectable by vendors if self-selection is on — see Turn on the floor plan.
Common problems
Generated booths are all in the wrong place. Expected — generate first, then position.
Booths overlap. Drag them apart. Nothing prevents overlap.
The plan looks nothing like the venue. Upload the venue's real plan as the hall background.
You cannot create booths. No hall exists. See Add venues and halls.
You generated too many. Delete the extras individually — see Edit, block or free a booth.
Booths are the wrong size. Set the size on each booth. The generator produces a uniform grid; irregular stands are adjusted afterwards.
