Turn on the floor plan
Show the plan to attendees, and decide whether vendors pick their own booth.
Two switches control what the floor plan does. Both are on the Floor plan tab.
Show the floor plan to attendees
Turning this on publishes the plan at your event's /floorplan address, so attendees can see the layout and browse exhibitors.
Turn it on once the layout is settled and most booths are allocated. A half-empty plan published early makes the event look undersold.
Let vendors pick their booth on the plan
This changes how the exhibitor application works.
Off — companies apply for a package, and you allocate the booth when you approve them. You keep full control of the layout.
On — the floor plan becomes the application's landing view. A company taps a free stand and applies for that specific booth.
Which to choose
Off for most events. You decide who goes where, which lets you separate competitors, put your anchor sponsors in the right place, and avoid a chessboard of gaps.
On when speed matters more than layout control, or for a large plan of identical booths where position is genuinely first-come-first-served.
With self-selection on, the good booths go in the first hours. If you have anchor sponsors who were promised a corner near the entrance, block those booths before you open applications — see Edit, block or free a booth.
Packages with no individual stands — sponsorships, advertising — still appear as cards underneath the plan, so they remain reachable either way.
Steps
- Open Exhibitors and go to the Floor plan tab.
- Set the two toggles.

What happens next
With the plan visible to attendees, add a floor plan section to your site so people can find it — see The section types.
Common problems
The plan is on but attendees see nothing. No booths yet, or no hall background. See Create and position booths.
Exhibitors cannot pick a booth. Vendor selection is off, or the package has no individual stands.
All the best booths went instantly. Self-selection with nothing blocked. Block reserved stands before opening.
The plan looks wrong to attendees. They see the published state. Check it yourself at your event's floorplan address.
You want to show the plan to exhibitors but not attendees. Not separable — one visibility switch covers both.
