How the page editor works

Pages, sections and the theme — the three ideas behind your public event site.

Your public site — everything at your-event-slug.evenclo.com — is built here. It is worth two minutes on the structure before you start dragging things around.

Three ideas

Pages. Your site has one or more pages: a homepage, and whatever else you need — Agenda, Speakers, Venue, Register. Each has its own web address.

Sections. A page is a vertical stack of sections. A hero at the top, then a countdown, then speakers, then a footer. You add, reorder and remove sections; you do not lay out a blank canvas.

The theme. Colours, fonts and direction, applied across every page at once. Change the theme and the whole site follows.

The layout

Page tabs across the top switch between your pages.

Sections list the current page's stack. Drag to reorder.

The preview shows the real page as you edit, with Desktop / Tablet / Mobile and an EN / Arabic toggle.

The drawer on the right edits whatever you have selected, with three tabs:

Content — the words and images.
Style — spacing, colours and animations for that section.
Advanced — custom HTML, CSS and JS. Rarely needed.

Where to start

For a new event, in this order:

Set your theme — colours and fonts first, so everything you add is already on-brand.
Work down the homepage, editing the sections the template gave you.
Add sections you need, remove what you do not.
Add more pages once the homepage is right.
Publish.

Resist adding pages early. A single strong homepage that ends in a registration form converts better than five thin pages someone has to navigate. Add pages when one gets too long, not before.

Registration lives here too

Your registration form is not rebuilt in the page editor. Add a registration form section and it embeds the form you built in the Form builder. Same for exhibitor applications and the floor plan.

That means the form has one definition, and it cannot drift between the page and the real thing.

Common problems

Changes are not on the live site. You have not published. See Publish your site.

A section is not in the list. Not every section suits every page. See The section types.

The preview looks different from the live page. The preview shows your unpublished draft.

You cannot open the page editor. Owner and admin only.

It opens a code editor instead. A few older events predate this editor. Contact support rather than editing raw code — you probably want moving to the current system.
