Change your theme, colours and fonts

The theme applies to your whole site at once. Set it before you build pages, so everything you add is already on-brand.

Steps

1. Open Page editor and open Theme in the drawer.
2. Set your colours, font and language options.

   

3. Save.

The colours

Primary — your main brand colour. Headings, navigation, prominent surfaces.

Accent — the colour for the thing you want clicked. Buttons, links, highlights.

Background and Surface — the page background and the cards sitting on it.

Text — your body text colour.

Two rules that matter more than the exact values:

Use the accent sparingly. If everything is highlighted, nothing is. Reserve it for your register button and it will get pressed.

Check contrast. Pale grey text on white looks refined on your monitor and is unreadable on a phone in daylight — which is where a lot of people will read it. Body text needs real contrast against its background.

The font

Pick one from the Google font list. One typeface for the whole site is right; the theme handles the size and weight hierarchy.

If you are running an Arabic version, choose a font that supports Arabic. A Latin-only face renders Arabic as empty boxes.

Enable Arabic

Turn on the Arabic version here. This is what makes the language toggle appear on your public site.

Enabling it does not translate anything — see Add the Arabic version of your site for the wording, and Translate your registration form for the form.

Per-section colours

A section's Style tab has Colors (this section only), overriding the theme for that one block. Useful for a dark band between light sections.

Use it deliberately and rarely. A page where every section has its own palette stops looking designed.

What happens next

The theme applies across every page immediately in the preview, and publicly when you publish.

Your event's colours also feed other places attendees see — check your badges still look right after a significant colour change.

Common problems

A section ignores the theme. It has a per-section colour override on its Style tab.

Arabic text shows as boxes. The font does not cover Arabic. Change it.

The language toggle is missing. Arabic is not enabled here.

Buttons are hard to see. Your accent is too close to your background. They need to stand out from everything around them.

It looked fine while editing and wrong when published. Check it on a phone in daylight, not on your monitor.
